Policies & FAQ

How Do I Sign Up for a Class?

Sign up is easy! Go to the Schedule page and follow the directions. You can sign up for one of our monthly membership plans, or purchase individual classes.

Alternatively, our friendly staff will be happy to help you sign up in our studio or over the phone.

Dress the Part...

Choose attire that allows you to breathe, bend and stretch. Smart choices include stretch pants, yoga pants, leggings and tank tops. Fitted clothing is helpful so the teacher can assess your form.

Leave big dangly jewelry at home or in your bag. .

For Pilates Pro and Barre Pro classes, we require socks. We recommend ones with the sticky grip on the bottom. Sneakers are required for TRX

No strong perfumes or lotions. Some people are allergic and the oils can stain the equipment

Are All the Pilates Classes on the Machines? And What is the FitFormer™?

Yes, all classes are held on our exclusive FitFormer™. There are no mat classes. The machines give you full body resistance training, much like a weightlifting routine, but don’t bulk you up.

We created a customized reformer because, well, we didn’t like other reformers. Hey, we might be opinionated, but it’s more about wanting you to have the best Pilates experience. Our reformer is bigger, more comfortable, easier to use, and more versatile. Looks great, too.

How is Pilates Pro Different from Pilates Classic?

Pilates Pro is our signature method, a combination of Pilates and resistance training. Pilates Pro utilizes the best of both: the strengthening and toning benefits of weight training, and the lengthening and postural enhancing benefits of Pilates.

Our workout moves quickly, keeping the heart rate up and burning extra calories. Pilates Classic is a more traditionally styled Pilates class, incorporating classic pilates exercises. Though still challenging, this class will be slower paced with less emphasis on music.

I Have Never Done Pilates, Should I Take a Private Session First?

We recommend either taking one or more private sessions until you feel comfortable, or taking the Pilates Essentials class. Both are great ways to get a little extra attention and explanation. However, depending on your general fitness level and athleticism, your can most likely jump right into an All Levels class.

Most new students do just fine in their first class. If you have chronic back pain, painful joints or a severe medical condition, please make sure your doctor has given you the go-ahead before undertaking any new physical activity.

Our Perfectly Reasonable Reservation Cancellation Policy

Like you, we hate policies. But as a business that’s based on respecting our members’ time, we needed this one. We have a limited number of machines, and there’s a high-demand for our classes. So if you cancel at the last minute, that’s a spot that could’ve gone to someone else. That’s why we created the Perfectly Reasonable Reservation Cancellation Policy. It’s reasonable because we simply ask that you cancel your space 12 hours in advance. (Most studios have a 24-hour cancellation, by the way.) Respecting the policy respects our teachers’ time, and allows others to take your spot in the class. Wouldn’t you want the same respect?

The Fool-Proof Way to Cancel a Class...

Since you signed up for the class online, you can just as easily cancel the class online. It merely takes a minute. We also have a snazzy mobile app for those on the go. Sorry, we cannot accept cancellations by phone or voicemail, although we’ll make an exception if you’re stuck in jail.

What Happens If You Cancel A Class With 11 Hours And 59 Min To Go?

For those of you with a bad memory, as we said above, classes need to be cancelled within 12 hours. Otherwise, you’ll incur a Late Cancel charge, which is $15.

In fairness to all our customers, SPOTS WILL BE RELEASED 5 MINUTES AFTER CLASS BEGINS. Anyone waiting to get in will be able to take unclaimed spots at this time.

Those who are more than 5 minutes late will not be admitted into class as it is too disruptive and unsafe.

Can I Stroll in 20 Minutes Late to Class?

What Happens If You Just Decide to Not Even Show Up?

You signed up for a class but drank a few too many Manhattans last night. You didn’t show up. Fine. Just know that you will be charged $25. Granted, being health and fitness people, we are compassionate, so we make exceptions for emergencies. But not hangovers.

What About Private Sessions?

Please cancel within 24 hours of your scheduled time to avoid forfeiting the session.
