Etiquette

Our rules, systems and other trivial yet important facts..
Our Perfectly Reasonable Reservation Cancellation Policy

Like you, we hate policies. But as a business that’s based on respecting our members’ time, we needed this one. We have a limited number of machines, and there’s a high-demand for our classes. So if you cancel at the last minute, that’s a spot that could’ve gone to someone else. That’s why we created the Perfectly Reasonable Reservation Cancellation Policy. It’s reasonable because we simply ask that you cancel your space 12 hours in advance. (Most studios have a 24-hour cancellation, by the way.) Respecting the policy respects our teachers’ time, and allows others to take your spot in the class. Wouldn’t you want the same respect?

The idiot-proof way to cancel a class...
Since you signed up for the class online, you can just as easily cancel the class online. It merely takes a minute. That’s the only way to let us know you won’t be here. Sorry, we don’t accept cancellations by phone or voicemail, although we’ll make an exception if you’re stuck in jail.

What happens if you cancel a class with 11 hours and 59 min to go?
For those of you with a bad memory, as we said above, classes need to be cancelled within 12 hours. Otherwise, you’ll incur a Late Cancel charge, which is $15 for pilates classes and $10 for Barre and TRX.

What happens if you just decide to not even show up?
You signed up for a class but drank a few too many Manhattans last night. You didn’t show up. Fine. Just know that you will be charged $25 for pilates classes and $15 for Barre and TRX. If you have a series package (i.e., a 5-Pack) you will lose the session credit. Granted, being health and fitness people, we are compassionate, so we make exceptions for emergencies. But not hangovers.

What about private sessions?
Please cancel within 24 hours of your scheduled time and everything will be good.

Reserve a space

There’s something kind of cool about this membership thing. For example, when you join, you can sign-up for one class per day, up to seven days in advance.

Just pay in advance to secure a space.

Get on the wait list

Just because a class appears full doesn’t means it’s actually full.
Stuff happens. People cancel. So add yourself to our wait list and you might get in.

How the wait list works

- When trying to book a class, if it asks if you want to be on the waitlist, say Yes! When someone cancels a class, the first name on the list gets automatically added and confirmed for the class.

- If you’re moved from wait list to class attendee, you’ll get a confirmation email.

- See, being on the wait list is kind of like signing up for the class. And that means you’ll have to cancel if you can’t make it. Just like everyone else.

Don't be late

The meeting ran over schedule. Your nap lasted longer than expected. Parking sucked. Hey, life happens and sometimes we’re late. But keep in mind, we may give reserved spots to standby students 5 minutes after class starts.

So if you’re running late, give us give a quick call so we know you’re on your way. And if you're really late (more than 10 min.) we can't let you into class. This is for your safety and out of respect for the other students.

Respect the community

As a place that builds community, we encourage you to socialize with fellow members. Exchange numbers, debate geo-political theory. You know, the usual. We ask, however, to have courtesy for all and refrain from talking, calling or texting once you enter the class.

Please be respectful of our hard-working front desk girls, and treat them like you would like to be treated. They don't make the rules, it's just their job to enforce them. Be nice.

Next to pilates, dogs are about the next best thing in life. So feel free to bring your pooch to the studio, as long it’s just 1 of them. Things are already a little hectic in the lobby and we don't want anybody's paws getting stepped on. We also ask that your dog gets along with humans and other four-legged creatures. If he's got separation anxiety or likes to sing, he’ll have to stay at home and sit this round out.

We love email

As much as we like hearing your voice, we do all of our communication via email. It’s the easiest way to send wait list notifications, receipts, confirmations and cancellations. Be sure you have an active e-mail address in your account profile and check the Email Opt-In button. We will never share or sell your private information. And we won’t send you daily vegan recipes or quotes from the Dalai Lama.

Please add "automatedemail@mindbodyonline.com” to your contact list, address book, or whitelist. This assures that our e-mails get through your spam filter. Search the help section of your email provider to learn how to do this.

Really boring credit card information

Credit cards work best when they’re valid, so be sure that we always have a valid credit card on file. An up-to-date, not-yet-maxed-out card allows you to reserve classes online and keep up with monthly automatic

payments. The only other reason we’ll bill your card is if you violate our Perfectly Reasonable Reservation Cancellation Policy.

It sounds like a lot, but it is all mostly common sense and common courtesy – you’ll get the hang of it!
